Coffee - April 2008

The coffee is held in the "Country Home" (5 minutes away from Kings Crossing) of Ways and Means Co-Chair Dixie Lanier.  By the way, it and the 10 acres of land are for sale by Advisor Linda Dorsey because Dixie is moving to Houston.

Guest Pat Dorsey visits.  She has recently moved from Greenville, South Carolina to be with her daughter's family AND, especially her 2 new two year old grandsons, who have been adopted from Russia by her daughter and husband. (She and Linda Dorsey are NOT kin and had never met each other.  However, with Linda's interest in Genealogy, she will likely find the connection.)

Scrapbook Chair Debbie Noble and President Cherl Hinton

Assistant Treasurer/Reservation Chair Terrie Bodine and Bridget Post are in line to get food.

Advisor Sarah Miracle, Invitations Chair Amy Pinelli and Judith Labeck

Hostess Dixie, Deb Hernandez, Membership/Club Chair Vicki Gaarder and Jennifer Oler

Sylvia Whitworth and Subscription Chair Sharon Blair, who is recovering from surgery, are ready for their food.

Kitchen crew members Joan Keys and Jana Griffin

Pitching in is Secretary Sally Escobar with Coffee Committee member Josie O'Flynn.

Pat and Cherl visit.  Know Cherl is somewhat glad this is her last coffee as President so she can sit down to eat!

Incoming President Vicki Gaarder announces that a few Board positions are still open.

VP/Social Co-Chair Catalina Longoria offers to be Sanddollar Editor.  Mary Reyes offers to be Secretary and Terry Butler agrees to be on the Social Committee.  Thanks to you and all of the members who agreed to take Board Positions.  FYI, Catalina is selling 50/50 tickets and she put in her dollar to make the "pot even" AND ... OF COURSE ... SHE WON!!!  How many times is this now, Cat?

Here is a view of Dixie's lovely Living Room.  We find Sarah, Amy and Judith still in the chairs behind the couch.  Linda Merkle, Treasurer/Reservation Chair Kathy Peoples and Mary Reyes are on the couch.  Bridget has her back to the camera.  Cherl is in the President's chair and Sally is taking minutes from the chair on the right.  Guess that's Debbie by the front door taking pictures for the scrapbook!

Linda makes an announcement about the Mixed Spirits get together.

Cherl had asked for members to bring their favorite coffee or tea cup and tell about it.  She is holding her pretty china one.  It was fun to learn about members in such a unique way.

Prospective Member Co-Chair/Publicity Chair Sylvia Earnst tells about hers.

The Shabby Chic sale begins with Linda Merkle, Sylvia Whitworth and Linda Dorsey checking on items.

Coffee Committee member Virginia Tyler and guest Pat Dorsey take a good look, while Linda Ivey is studying the items in the back room.

Stephanie Wenzler, Advisor Jo Ann Robertson and Terry Butler buy items.
