Our guest speaker is John Metz, Chief Meteorologist of the National Weather Service. He spoke on "What to Know When Preparing for a Hurricane". What a timely subject and a wonderful presentation.

Pat Dorsey wins the 50/50 money. She had just volunteered to Chair the Coffee Committee for next term and she not only won the 50/50 money, but she also won a door prize. Volunteerism is rewarded in many ways! Catalina Longoria, the Nominating Committee Chair, is anxiously awaiting your calls for open positions!
Nancy Gray was awarded the Fun and Friendship Award for August for her work on the web site, the database, etc. (I forgot to take a picture of me with the award, but I do appreciate it. Nancy Gray, Web Coordinator)
