Gloria Waller wrote, "We were thrilled to see those incredible coronation gowns at the Art Center. We had lunch at the Water Street restaurant where I tasted Julie's delicious fried oysters. I was hooked so I took an order home! Plus a huge slice of their Key Lime pie!
Vino Brio
The entire NNL Club was invited to the May Vino Brio party. The theme was "Fun and Friendship on the Texas Coast"... on the Island at
Robin Bennett’s house. Hosts were Sylvia and Bill Earnst, Robin and Gordon Bennett. Robin said, "The Vino Brio will officially start at 6:00 pm for more deck time over the water and there will be an even earlier "Happy Hour" to get warmed up. A big crowd took them up on the offer. Reports were that everyone had a fabulous time and, as the picture shows, there was tons of delicious food. Here are Hostess Robin, Yvonne and Timothy Hawthorne and Bill Earnst.

Antique Club
Gloria Waller wrote, "These pictures were taken on Thursday, April 21 at Betty's Downtown Antique Store and at the U & I restaurant afterward. We always enjoy Betty's stores because they are so full of an assortment of interesting items. Sometimes we buy something and sometimes we don't. The fun is in just looking around!"

Couples Dining Out IV
The club took dining "out" literally, with "reservations" at Paula & Bill Braddy's new outdoor kitchen. They Braddy's created a beautiful outdoor space with a large walled and covered patio area and behind the counter (at far right) a kitchen area with designer grill and fridge.

Gloria Waller wrote, "The Antique Club had a happy St. Patrick's Day shopping at Codi's Crafts and Collectibles followed by lunch at the Olive Garden on Thursday, March 17. We had fun shopping for family and friends and found time to find some things for our collections. Gayle brought her daughter, Michelle, as a guest and it was nice getting to know her."

Gloria Waller wrote, "Here are pictures of the Eaters Unlimited group at P.F. Chang's on Friday, February 25. There were 10 hungry ladies, who enjoyed special attention by our very efficient waitress and delicious food in a lovely environment."

Gloria Waller wrote, "The Antique Club had a lovely time visiting the Renaissance Shop on Antique Row on Alameda on Thursday, February 17, followed by lunch at Longhorn Steak & Ale restaurant. Dee Gregg and I enjoyed delicious Reuben sandwiches! The Antique shop is full of lots of interesting items. There is so much to see you really have to go around twice at least to see everything! I found a very old necklace for $3.00 that I haven't seen for many years!"

Gloria Waller wrote, "We (The Antique Club) had a very nice small group of 6 ladies visiting Gatherings and lunching at Shockley's Market on Thursday, January 20, 2011. I was even able to find an adorable bracelet to add to my collection of costume jewelry."
The Dining Out Club I held the annual "Procrastinators New Years Eve" party at the home of Roger and Margie Schroeder on January 3 with 20 people present.

Ming is resting on "her throne" and ready for the decorations to finally come down. We all appreciate the Schroeder's for hosting this beautiful event. They furnished the beef and each couple brought a dish (or 2). Although the New Year's was wrung in about 9:30 pm, we had champagne toasts and a fabulous time in the beautifully decorated Schroeder's home.

Here we are at the Bleu Frog and Hesters for lunch on Thursday, December 15. It was a small group, but we enjoyed looking at all the pretty things at the store. That blue shirt I am wearing with the white angels I bought several years ago at Betty's Trash and Treasure on Alameda. I really do enjoy our Antique Club and all the interesting shops we visit. Book Club Christmas Luncheon
The Book Club held their annual Christmas Luncheon at the lovely home of Chair, Pat Dorsey. Pat and Connie Smith are a matched pair in their pretty red Christmas shirts. Everyone brought an ethnic or favorite dish, along with the recipe, and Pat furnished ham. Needless to say, we had many fabulous dishes, recipes and food to take home. Each member also brought a wrapped book to exchange.
Co-Chair Susie Wright coordinated the luncheon and book exchange AND brought some delicious, unpronounceable, ethnic food!
