Luncheon - June 2008
President Vicki Gaarder presides at the luncheon, which is held at the Corpus Christi Country Club.
The program is " How Did CCISD Fare in the 2007-08 School Year", given by Corpus Christi Independent School District Board member, Carol Scott. Carol is also associated with Kailo Communications Studio.
The Home Page for the Power Point presentation is this screen.
Carol's talk is interesting, articulate and informative.
Seen at this table, are Secretary Mary Reyes (in blue), Prospective Member Co-Chair Terry Butler, new member Ivonne Guinones, Coffee Committee member Virginia (wearing the hat), Coffee Committee Chair/Advisor Marsha Baxter and Advisor Sarah Miracle (in red).
Membership Chair Bridget Post, VP Elizabeth Feeney, Carol Scott and Communications Chair Cheryl Kelsey.
Another view of those four. Since Cheryl is a retired school Principal, teaching at A & M Kingsville, she is likely quite interested in up to date info on CCISD.
VIP Advisor Ruth Williams (Ruth won the June Birthday drawing.), Ava Obermueller, Jennifer Oler and VIP President Jackie Del Nano. (Jackie's son lost in the State Tennis Mixed-doubles Semi-Finals, playing for King High School. We are all so proud of Brandon!)
Treasurer Stephanie Wenzler, Advisor Terrie Bodine, President Vicki and new member Pat Dorsey
Pat and Bridget (Bridget later won the 50/50 money!)
Virginia gives Elizabeth Orchid seeds. Let us know how (if) they grow, Elizabeth?
Marsha Baxter won the Fun and Friendship award this month. Her willingness to accept the Coffee Chair position is quite appreciated by all. Subscription/Sunshine Chair Amy Pincelli and Coffee Committee member Lorraine Taylor are also at this table.
A better view of Mary, Terry and new member Ivonne Guinones.
Left to right are Nametag Chair Sally Escobar, Sylvia Whitworth, Juanita Powell, Dee Gregg, Gloria Waller, Scrapbook/Ways and Means Chair Cherl Hinton and Marion Gholston (back to camera).
A front view of Cherl, Marion and Sally. Cherl discussed various Fund Raising projects, including recycling cell phones, toner and ink cartridges. Other fund raising ideas included having a professional Style Show and a Bake Sale for the holidays.
The door prizes look great and the Suggestion Box is ready for YOUR suggestions.
