Luncheon - January 2007

We are greeted at the door by 2 Terries.  On the right is Terrie Bodine, who  is Treasurer and Reservation Chair, and on the left is Terri (no "e") Schexnayder, who is our speaker today.

Club Coordinator Judy Holloway is with Sanddollar Editor Ruby Gabelmann, who is selling 50/50 tickets.  Little did Ruby know that she would be the winner.  She generously donated the money to the Spring Social.  She is going above and beyond her job as a member of the Social Committee!  Thanks, Ruby.

VIP President Jackie Del Nano has a good laugh with Advisor Jennifer Oler.  (Think we can give Jennifer a prize for the biggest laugh!)

Subscription Co-Chair Barbara Wendland and Coffee Chair Virginia Haasl are out of the kitchen, without their aprons and all dressed up in pretty prints.

Julie Schultz welcomes new member Melanie Polasek.

Nametags Chair Linda Sassenrath and Invitations Chair Sandra Richmond make a pretty duo.  Sandra always says she takes a terrible picture.  So WHO is that gorgeous lady?

Sherry Kendrick, January new member Jackie McDaniel and Gail Drown

Left to right are Advisor Sally Galyon, Julie, Ruth Williams, Joyce Seitz, Sandra and Carol Gigliotti.

President Sharon Lester greets the group and gives the Invocation.

Getting down to business are Secretary Sylvia Earnst, Membership Chair Sarah Miracle, Sharon and Barbara.

Vice President Karlina Perry introduces our speaker Terri Schexnayder as Advisor Susie Wright looks on.  Terri came down from Austin and gave an interesting and informative presentation, “Put Texas in Your Corner”.  She is the Public Relations Director for ThinkStreet in Austin.

Advisor Rita Albrecht wins the birthday drawing.  Happy Birthday to all of you January birthday girls!

Sally introduces the January Rose, who is ...

Tammie Mathis

Tammie tells how much NNL means to her and what a difference the club has made in her life.  She did NOT select a Rose table and says how she usually tries to sit with a new member or guest.  She does make some special comments about various people in the club.

True to her word, here she sits with our newest member, Jackie, and to the right of our frequent guest, Salvation Army leader, Major Lois Tracy.  Seen at the table left to right are Susie, Jo Ann Robertson, Advisor Sylvia Whitworth, Sherry, Jackie and Gail.

Sharon gives Tammie the Rose Pin.

Advertising our spring social, is Social Chair Libbie Killgore doing the castanets.  The Spanish Spring Feria will be March 24th.  Besides good food, music and dance, there will be a presentation of types of Flamingo dances.

Tammie reads notes that the club received from club relatives who are stationed over seas - especially Iraq.  She was in charge of collecting "goodies" and made packages for these special men and women.
