Luncheon - September 2006
Candy Duncan is displaying her award. Pam Gordon wrote the letter to NNL's National Headquarters recommending Candy for this award. The plaque reads
"New Neighbors League Club does hereby certify that Candy Duncan has been selected First Runner-up National New Neighbor 2005 because of her outstanding contributions to Her Friends, Community, & The Corpus Christi Chapter, proclaimed this 14th day of August 2006, National President Cheryl Beaudreault.
All of the entries were coded and without any indication of a candidate's name or chapter affiliation before being submitted to a panel of judges. Each candidate was judged entirely on her contributions as described in the essay submitted by her chapter and as permitted within the guidelines of the NNLC Constitution and By-Laws. The judges used a point system of 100 possible points; (70) based on contributions to new Neighbors League and (30) on civic/community service. What an honor for Candy and for our chapter!
The Bazaar
