Luncheon - February 2006

horizontal rule

The talented and attractive Marjorie Abner entertained the group with her lovely piano playing.  What a treat she always is.

Josie O'Flynn won the 50/50.  Bet Janice Andreas is telling her the bad news about her house fire or the good news about her daughter graduating with honors from Del Mar's School of Nursing.

Ways and Means Chair Scarlett Bowling is excited about the "Shabby Chic” garage sale fund raiser which will be held at the coffee on April 6th. With her are Callie Macdonald, Patty Diaz, and Patty's guest, Sanguita Gupta. Look at that yummy chocolate pie!

There is a large crowd at the Corpus Christi Country Club to enjoy the fellowship, fun, food and talents of our members.

Lynn Jacobs, guest Marlene Super, Amy Carmel and Sally Galyon are at this table.

Gayle Keramian, Juanita Powell, new member Sharon Blair, Coffee Committee Member Chair Sylvia Whitworth are seen here.  Vice President and program chair Carol Gigliotti is seen in the background as she helps arrange the special "Talented Members" program.

On the right is Advisor and February Rose Cara Stonecipher.  Husband Jim is rightfully proud of HIS Rose.  Secretary Rita Albrecht congratulates Cara.  The corsage is courtesy of Donna Tindall of Personally Yours Florist.  (Thank you, Donna, for your continued generosity.)

Carol Gigliotti introduced our program for today’s luncheon.  Five of our members who are artists spoke to us about their backgrounds and their art.  Jana Gann, Scrapbook Chair, is a painter with a degree in art; Debra Hernandez taught herself to fuse glass to make jewelry and other decorative items; Judy Holloway, Sunshine Chair, is re-discovering her love of painting and Feng Shui after a career in accounting; Sally Wakefield is an award winning painter who also teaches art; and Susie Wright started out her jewelry, glass fusing and beading skills by mining rocks with her husband.  What a talented group!
