Luncheon - April 2005


 

Advisor Joyce Seitz, Kimberly Cook (Joyce's daughter) and Sunshine Chair Mollie Zick pose at the Town Club NNL Luncheon.

Vice President and April Rose Brenda Pitz, husband Bob and Maico Sanchez give a grin.  Personally Yours Florist donated Brenda's lovely corsage and the flowers used in the officer installation.

Greeting all guests are Prospective Member Assistant Susie Wright, Prospective Member Chair Sally Galyon, Assistant Treasurer Jane Cheesman, Treasurer Jana Gann and incoming Treasurer Judy Holloway.  President Candy Duncan is checking on last minute details.

Social Committee member Gloria Lopez sells 50/50 tickets to Glenda Fischer, who is now officially retired from her position at the Town Club.  How does it feel, Glenda, to enjoy the lunch like the rest of us?

Candy gives her "swan song" as she presides at her last luncheon as President.

Enjoying lunch is Advisor Mary Jo Cheesman, Aquarium Director Crystal Meade, Mollie, Fil Hamilton and Gloria Waller.  The chocolate desert was as good as it looks!

 

Debra Hernandez visits with Treva Miles, Julie Brower, Lena Maude Muellar and Juanita Powell. Then Membership Chair Sylvia Whitworth, IMPs Chair Alice Murphy, Anne Foster, and V.I.P. Advisor Ruth Williams join them.

Marcia Mayes, Kae Martin, Marjorie Abner, Mary Duncan and Advisor Lettie Good are ready to eat their salad.  Then Lettie gives her chair to Judy and Bobbie Sue Doye' and Susie join them.

Candy calls on Sylvia to introduce our new members.

President and CEO of the Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors Bureau, Tom Galyon, speaks on "Tourism, An Economic Force for Corpus Christi".  His humor and upbeat personality made all of us proud to live in Corpus Christi and be ready to encourage visitors to our sparkling city by the sea.   (Of course, to us, he is known as incoming President Sally Galyon's husband.)  Visit the CVB Web site at www.corpuschristicvb.com for more  information.

Advisor Joyce Seitz introduced the April Rose, Brenda Pitz.

Brenda gave a moving acceptance talk and introduced her table.

Brenda has husband Bob on her left, Pam Gordon in yellow and to her right are Joyce, Maico, Margie Schroeder, Carol Gigliotti, Robbie Purdy, Candy and Sally.

Candy gives Brenda the Rose pin and a hug.  We all hate to see Brenda move to Maryland!

Bob praised the club and told how much it had meant to Brenda.

The new Officers and Advisors are installed and the retiring Advisors are recognized.

Sally accepts the office of President for the May - October 2005 term.

Web Coordinator Nancy Gray wins a door prize.  (PS  That pie did NOT go to waste!)  Alice Murphy announces the upcoming VIP Luncheon.
