BBQ Party - March 2006

horizontal rule

The semi annual NNL party was held at the Bar-B-Q Man Patio Cantina.  85 people attended and we had the best barbeque in town (with a free drink "to boot"),  music by Rubin Limas that was fun to dance to AND great listening, door prizes, best costume contest and FUN!  Decked out in their cowgirl best are Scrapbook Chair Jana Gann, President Jennifer Oler, VIP President Jackie Del Nano and Joyce Seitz.

Coming in from Pennsylvania to visit Candy Duncan, is Brenda Pitz.  They are joined (on the left) by Mollie Zick and Vickie Frazier.

Carol Allen, Candy and Jana

Cowboy John (Gray) has lassoed Lena Maude Muellar on the left and Linda Dorsey on the right.  He knows how to pick 'em!  Linda was one of the Social Committee members who put on the party.

Here we have the Grays AND the Grays: John and Eural on the left and Mary Ann and Nancy on the right.  FYI - John and Nancy go together and Eural and Mary Ann.  However, those Grays have a son named John and a granddaughter named Nancy.

Another foursome are Bob Andreas and Erm Mueller and Lena Maude Mueller and Janice Andreas.

And again ...

Having fun are Merle Schillo and Kathy Salch.

Here are Bill and Sylvia Earnst and Barbara Wendland.

Roger and Margie Schroeder are back from Antarctica and have some great pictures and tales.  Here is Mollie again.

Jennifer makes the rounds to greet everyone.  Here in matching outfits are Wilson and Sallie Wakefield.

Rita Albrecht is surrounded by some good looking fellows: her husband Kyle in the flowered cowboy shirt, the "Bar-B-Q Man" himself, Malcolm, and his son Matthew in the white shirts and Bonner Dorsey.

Enjoying their drinks are Gordon Lester, Carol Allen, Maico Sanchez,  Sharon Lester, Social Chair and the "Hostess with the Mostest" Sandra Richmond (back to camera), Joyce, Terri and Shawn Bodine and Tom Galyon.

And then there was the great food.  Here are Jason West, Kathy Sands, Wendy and Brad Freeman.

Here the Olers, Lesters and Ganns join new members, the Perrys and Campbells.

There were also the games.  Lynn Jacobs is a pool shark.

Dino Del Nano is doing a perfect shot of this game.

Brad Freeman and Jason West show their skills, while their wives, Wendy and Sarah are doing their "hostess" duties.  Those gals sure put on a good party.  Glad the hubbies are having fun.  (Bet they're glad the planning is over and the party is a success!)

On the dance floor are the Bodines and the Robertsons (Jo Ann and Jim).

The Del Nano's have joined them.

Pat and Jennifer Oler "cut a mean rug".

Nancy and John Gray give it a whirl.

Karl Zick is dancing with Sandra, but he's facing the wrong way!  Is this another kind of line dancing?

That's better, Karl.

Brenda, Mollie and Joyce are having a good laugh at the dancers.

Look at the door prizes that the committee rounded up.  Our thanks to Sandra, Linda, Sarah West and Wendy Freeman and many more who helped.

Chair Sandra Richmond and Social Committee member Sarah West draw numbers for the door prizes.  (Surprisingly, the Web Coordinator won that prize!)

Loved the music...

The contest for the Best Dressed Cowgirl and Cowboy brought out lots of people. The cowgirl finalists are Lynn, Terrie and Sharon.  And the winner is ...

... Terrie Bodine.  She even has a lasso

The guys looked like good 'ole Texas cowboys - nothing fancy, but watch out!

.

Steve Jacobs would not be recognized as the KIII Weather Man.

The Best Dressed Cowboy is Rolo Sanchez.  (That red hat looks remarkably like the one that Jackie wore earlier in the evening.)  Here Wendy gives him the prize.  And what could be better for Rolo than a case of beer.
