Coffee - September 2006

Reservations Chair Lynn Jacobs nibbles on some celery as she hosts the coffee.

President Sandra Richmond conducts the meeting.

Social Committee member Wendi Freeman and Coffee Committee member Sarah West talk about Wendi's BIG NEWS - (she's expecting a baby!)

VIP Treasurer Margie Schroeder visits with new member, Ava Obermuellar.

Guest Marie Hubbard and Secretary Linda Sassenrath

We wonder WHAT is going on in the kitchen as Advisor Sally Galyon points out something in the Sanddollar to the coffee crew chairs: Kathy Salch and Barbara Wendland.

Subscription Chair Sarah Miracle enjoys some of the great food.

Here are the "membership people" - Prospective Member Chair Alma Grady and Membership Chair Sharon Lester.  They have done a terrific job.  Look at our new members!

New member Gail Drown ... new member Marsha Baxter

New member Karen Cowan ... Prospective member Stephanie Stoliz

President Sandra Richmond has each person present give their name and the most fun thing that they did this summer.  There was probably a tie on taking a trip and being with family.  A new member said it was "finding New Neighbors".  Yea!  After Ava and Margie is Maico Sanchez.

Seen from the staircase is the same group with Gayle Keramian with a cute hat - her trademark.

Across the room ...

And into the kitchen ...

Sally is the September Rose and will be honored at the luncheon.  What a beautiful smile!

Lynn won the September Fun and Friendship Award as did Terri Bodine, who had to leave before the presentation.  They have both done so much work on the luncheon reservation system.  (FYI - We learned that we are the ONLY New Neighbors League that had not gone to prepaid luncheon reservations.)

Speaking of luncheons ... Ways and Means Chair Carol Gigliotti reminds everyone of the upcoming Bazaar to be held at the September luncheon.  As we South Texans say, "Y'all all come!"

Proofreader Virginia Haasl wins the 50/50 drawing.  She'll have some extra money to spend at the Bazaar!
