December 2005

horizontal rule

The Christmas luncheon featured the King High School Jazz Choir, the Marine spokesmen to pick up the toys (under the tree) for the Toys for Tots program and piano music by our own Marjorie Abner.

Under the direction of David Hiser, the Jazz Choir was wonderful.  The girls were cute, peppy and talented.  What a great Christmas treat.

Treasurer Mary Robinson (on the right) and Assistant Treasurer Virginia Haasl (on the left) are collecting luncheon money and depositing checks.  They are decked out in red and black with matching red wine (do we trust them with money?), and red door prize tickets.  (By the way, count how many people at the luncheon are dressed in red and black.  Whatever happened to green?)

2 Pams and a Mom ... Pam Gordon (on the right) is the December Rose and her mother is in town for the occasion.  Pam Brower is on the left.  Look at the pretty table decorations and the chocolate pie was to die for!

Marcia Mayes IS sporting green, Kae Martin has on a cute reindeer hat, and our pianist Margorie Abner has on a lovely beaded red top.

Ruth Williams has her daughter, Margo Glover, visiting.  They are both so pretty and young looking.  Can you tell which is which?

Anne Foster has on a pretty bright blouse with red pants and a fur coat.  With the cold weather, many people were sporting their furs.

Social Chair Sandra Richmond is talking to Lynn Jacobs ... about what, Lynn!

Third time Scrapbook Chair Jana Gann, sisters Evelyn Rathke and Jimmie Compton and Irene Pratap have a good visit.

Left to right are Gayle Kermenian (with hat), Juanita Powell, prospective member Sylvia Earnst, Louise Moore, Kathy Salch, Barbara Wendland and Sunshine Chair Judy Holloway (back to camera).

Margie Schroeder is on the left.  Margaret Pubillones is back from Scotland. Then it's Mollie Zick, Fil Hamilton, Sally Taylor, Lisa Pittman (who is movng before Christmas).  and Maico Sanchez with her back to camera.

Left to right are Ways and Means Chair Scarlett Bowling, Callie MacDonald, Pat Shoesmith, Amy Carmel and guest Christine Henderson.

This red and black attired group has two prospective members, Elaine Roberts  and Sharon Blair, Sylvia Whitworth and Sally Wakefield.

Guests, Nancy Campbell and Karlina Perry, enjoy the delicious lunch - chicken breast stuffed with tamale dressing.

Vice President Carol Giglotti, Joyce Seitz, Coffee Chair Sally Galyon and Membership Chair Jo Ann Robertson also enjoy their lunch.

The other side of this table has Jane Cheesman, Josie O'Flynn and Marion Gholston.

Sue Morris, Mary Ann Gray and Advisor Carolyn Cutbirth pose.  At the table in the background are Advisor Cara Stoncipher, Sanddollar Editor Ruby Gabelmann and VIP President Jackie Del Nano.

Here are Publicity Chair Catalina Longoria and Barbara McMurray.

At this table are ??, Laura Larkin, Sally Freeborn, Sarah Miracle and Lettie Good with the ever present smile.

What beautiful faces!  Here are Pam Brower and Mary Jo McNinch.

President Jennifer Oler is at the podium, while Corporal Cesar Bugarin and Gunnery Sgt. Rudy Altamirano with the US Marine Corp thank the club for donating the gifts for Toys for Tots.

Jennifer has just presented Sally with the Past President's pin.

Christy Rutledge introduces our December Rose ...

... Advisor Pam Gordon

Jennifer gives Pam the Rose pin.

Membership Chair Jo Ann Robertson has the Marines draw for the Birthday gift.  And the winner is ...

... Laura Larkin, dressed in a cute Christmas blouse.

Vice President Carol Gigliotti tells about the upcoming programs.  Two of them will feature our own members showing their talents.

The Fun and Friendship award is given to Prospective Member Chair Sharon Lester.  Sharon had each NNL Club decorate a tree (with appropriate theme decorations) at Lacks Furniture Store.  She also contacted the club to bring canned goods to put under the tree.  The organization, whose tree has the most canned goods, will be awarded $200.00.  If we win, the money will be donated to a charity.

The 50/50 money of $58.00 was won by Susie Wright, who plans to donate her winnings to Bokenkamp.
