Luncheon - February 2005

President Candy Duncan readies her notes for the meeting.

Marsha Mayes made this cute purse that was raffled off to raise funds for the Women's Shelter and...

...the winner is guest, Charlotte McElroy.

The Rose of the Month is Julie Brower.  Her husband, Pat, helped her celebrate.

...as did their daughter, Suzanne, from Austin.  (She is better known as the mother of their 3 grandchildren!)

This "unposed" picture is more typical of Julie!

Good friend, Advisor Mary Jo Cheesman, has her Sanddollar handy because she later introduces Julie.

The pink crane centerpiece at the Rose table (with Janice Andreas and Treva Miles) has a story that Julie later relates to the group.  It seems to appear at various houses.  Who knows the next lucky recipient?

Sanddollar Editor Irene Pratap, new member Cyndy Pagan, Book Club Chair Amy Carmel, and Margie Schroeder (a birthday honoree) pose for a picture before sitting down to the delicious lunch.

Glenda Tvrdik, Web Site Coordinator Nancy Gray and Cyndy make a colorful trio.

Circle of Caring Chair Bobbie Sue Doye' and Advisor Lettie Good visit with members.

These guests and new members are ready for the salad.  Look at the yummy Valentine dessert!

Juanita Powell, Membership Chair Sylvia Whitworth and Spanish Club Teacher Sally Moehrke have finished their salad and await the entre.

The "trio in red" decided to celebrate Valentine's Day a little early.

These new members visit as they enjoy their salad.

The Rose Table consists of Janice Andreas (back to camera on the left), Treva, Mary Jo, Lena Maude Muellar, Jane Cheesman, Pat, Julie and daughter Suzanne.

Left to right are Club Coordinator Cara Stonecipher, Coffee Chair Rita Albrecht, Prospective Member Assistant Susan Andrews, Advisor Lyn Kitchens, Cyndy McClain, Mary Jo McNinch, and Advisor Carol Allen.

Betty Hagemeister (second from the left) tells Robbie Purdy, Marion Gholston, Gloria Waller, and Ruth Miller that she and John will be in their new Kings Crossing home next week.

Candy is getting tips from Past NNL President and VIP President Jackie DelNano (on her left) and the latest scoop on the Viva Las Vegas party from Jennifer Oler (on her right).

Prospective Member Chair Sally Galyon visits with Walli DeVille (in green). Yolando Lencioni, Crystal Garner and Treasurer Jana Gann are ready to attack the dessert.

The group finishes their food and awaits the program.

The informative program, "Prevention Against Crime", tells about ways for women to prevent rape, robbery, assault and workplace violence.

Mary Jo introduces the Rose of the Month, Julie Brower, who gives a cute acceptance talk.  She had written a poem about each person at her table.

The group really enjoyed her talk.

Candy gives Julie the Rose of the Month pin.

Jennifer tells about the Viva Las Vegas party on March 4th, 8 pm to 10 pm at the Omni Bayfront Hotel.

Cyndy wins the 50/50 with 3 sets of tickets.  Maybe she'd better go to the Viva Las Vegas party and try her luck.
