Luncheon - March 2005

Social Chair Jennifer Oler reports on the tremendous success of the Viva Las Vegas party as President Candy Duncan gives her a proud smile.

Membership Chair Sylvia Whitworth introduced the new members and Vice-President Brenda Pitz introduced our speaker, Matt Hicks.

Matt enthralled us with upcoming events of the new Hooks, the AA baseball team and Whataburger Field.

Kae Martin visits with Susie Wright, Treasurer Jana Gann, Gloria Waller and Sunshine Chair Mollie Zick.

Carolyn Cutbirth, Tammie Mathis (out of her NNL Coffee apron) and Betty Hagemeister are ready to begin on the salads.

Celeste Guernsey, Patricia Diaz, Julie Frum, and new member Mary Robinson give big smiles.

This table has Ruth Miller, VIP Chair Alice Murphy and Billie Snowden.

Emily and Sarah are looking over the Sanddollar.

Is VIP President Jackie Del Nano (on the far left) telling Sharon Lester, Club Coordinator Cara Stonecipher and new member Mary Robinson about Whataburger Field?

These new members and guests visit between food courses.

Treasurer Jana Gann and Assistant Treasurer Jane Cheesman are dressed in black.  Does that mean that the club is in the black?  Hurrah!

New member Wallie DeVille, Margie Schroeder, Glenda Tvrdik and new member Cyndy Pagan have a nice visit.

This is another view of Susie, Mollie, Gloria and Carolyn, with Kae Martin's back to the camera and Marjorie Abner on the far right.

Our guest speaker, Matt Hicks, his wife Estelle and well behaved young son sat with Advisor Lyn Kitchen (back to the camera) and Advisor Carol Allen (on the right).  Sarah is in the pink, Wendy Freeman is in purple, and Emily is hidden behind Carol.

Incoming Secretary Jo Ann Robinson is getting pointers from Secretary Christy Rutledge.  VP Brenda has her daughter visiting.

Prospective Member Assistant Susan Andrews, Linda Sassenrath, Debra Hernandez, Jackie, and Cara have seem to have several conversations going at once.  Think that is a New Neighbors requirement at luncheons!

Hearts and Hands Club Chair Susie Wright displays some of the jewelry that she has made.  Some lucky person will win one of these and the proceeds will go to furnish the teenage gift closet at Driscoll Hospital.

She also displays the pretty silver bracelet that each member of the Creative Craft Club will be making.

The 50/50 money was won by Web Coordinator Nancy Gray.  (Note: Which goes to show if you stay in the club long enough and buy enough chances, you actually CAN win!) Social Committee member Gloria Lopez doles out the cash.

Circle of Caring Club Chair Bobbie Sue Doye' tells about the members who are ill or otherwise in need.  She passed around cards for members to sign and asked to be notified of any other members in need.
