Luncheon - May 2005

These new officers are ready to greet members and guests. Assistant Treasurer Betty Hagemeister hands out the red door prize tickets. Treasurer Judy Holloway takes the money (with tips from past Treasurer Jana Gann). Jana is now Membership Chair and she's on the lookout for new members. Club Coordinator Marge Hinterman has info available on all of the NNL clubs.

Right to left are Juanita Powell and guest Gayle Heramian standing behind Julie Brower and her guest Renai Baker.

Also at that table are (left to right) Julie Schultz, Lena Maude Muellar, Joan Stobie, Janice Andreas and Renai. Looks like an Antique Club table.

Amy Carmel is selling raffle tickets to benefit the community project, selected by the Hearts and Hands Club. Being raffled off is a Glenda Fischer handmade purse.

Irene Slagle looks so pretty in her fashionable dress of lime green, aqua and royal blue. With Sunshine Chair Mollie Zick's lovely blue dress, they are a pretty pair.

Carolyn Cutbirth, Linda Merkel and Alice Murphy await their entree. Were they tempted to begin on the delicious dessert?

Vice President Jane Cheesman did double duty as President Sally Galyon was out of town. Here she blesses the food. Kae Martin has her back to the camera and at the front table (left to right) is Irene, Gloria Waller, Mollie, Fil Hamilton, Social Chair Carol Gigliotti and Secretary Jo Ann Robertson.

Receiving their food are Kae, Marjorie Abner, Sanddollar Editor Irene Pratap, Marcia Mayes, Amy, Linda Van Horn and guest Sue Olfen.

Enjoying their lunch are Marge, Doreen Quinones, Coffee Committee member Cyndy Pagan, Telephone Chair Gloria Lopez, Linda Peterson (we've MISSED you, Linda), and Mary Alice Steidley.

Jane presents the President pin to outgoing President Candy Duncan. (See the relaxed look on Candy's face?)

VIP President Jackie DelNano invites all NNL members to the VIP Luncheon on Tuesday, May 24th (Social at 11:30 and Lunch at noon) at the Corpus Christi Country Club. Julian Gold representatives will show us "How to Dress up Your Wardrobe" and will do a makeover. (Reality TV, watch out!) Further info is in the Sanddollar.

Jane does her Vice President duty as she introduces Dr. Dina Eftimescu from the Corpus Christi Women's Care Center, who gives an informative talk on "Breast Cancer Awareness".

Carol and Invitations Chair Tammi Mathis listen to the speaker. At the next table are Coffee Committee member Ruby Gabelman, Marion Golston, Advisor Joyce Seitz, and guest Pat Shoesmith.

Advisor Pam Gordon introduces the Rose of the Month, Bobbie Sue Doye'. Bobbie Sue told how much the club meant to her. She had nice, personal comments about each one at her table, including those who were unable to attend. We all laughed (and wept) with her.

The members pay close attention to her.

The Rose table is adorned with lovely white roses, a gift from Gail Van Winkle, who has moved to Houston. Left to right are Advisor Candy Duncan, Mary Jo McNinch, Glenda Tvrdik, Advisor Carol Allen, Reservations Chair Susie Wright, Bobbie Sue and husband Rob Doye'. (Pam is giving the introduction.)

Smiling for the camera are Glenda, Carol and Pam. Although Pam said that with three cheerleader daughters, she had learned to SMILE for the camera, Glenda gives a great smile herself. (We wouldn't be surprised if she had been a cheerleader too!)

Bobbie Sue and Robbie make a handsome pair.

Cynthia is willing to show off the new name tags. What a beautiful design! Thank you, Nametag Chair Libby Kilgore.

Jane gives Bobbie Sue the Rose pin. Although Sally was missed for her first luncheon as President, Jane did an outstanding job filling in for her.
